About the Study

Study Overview

The City of Elgin is a thriving community with a vibrant downtown and numerous recreational opportunities, including a robust park network, trail system, and the Fox River. The Active Mobility Plan will build on these resources and provide safe connections to key local and regional destinations for those walking, biking, and rolling. It will also establish a unified vision for the City’s active transportation network.

Through an inclusive and people-first approach, the City will prioritize active transportation improvements that support a vibrant, healthy, and sustainable community.
